I finished the first draft of a report for my summer employer (with much-needed assistance from my advisor). I then got back to work on a paper I started a couple of months ago on ethical and epistemological issues surrounding the federal government's effort to promote scientific education research. I think that I will end up turning this paper into my prospectus for LPO, so I'm hoping it's pretty good. If anyone is interested, or simply wants to help a guy who aspires to be your junior colleague, please feel free to email me and I'll send you a draft once it is complete.
Other than work, I've been able to enjoy some medium to long-distance running and cycling. Ashley and I took a 90ish mile ride last weekend along the W&OD. I followed that with a 13.5 mile jog Monday and a 7 mile run yesterday along Four Mile Run (which is more hilly than the W&OD, but shaded). With the temperatures hitting the 90s, it's been nice to settle into a moderate pace and cruise.
