I am happy to announce that I have officially transitioned from doctoral student to doctoral candidate.
A big thank you is clearly in order for my committee, James Guthrie, Robert Crowson, Christopher Loss, and Denis Phillips. They've been very supportive of what is, at least in my department, a rather unconventional approach to a dissertation (a mix of history, philosophy, and quantitative methods).
I'm resting on my laurels for the rest of the evening. Tomorrow I get back to work on the first chapter.
And then there is the matter of that other dissertation (more later).
